Mastercard Debit Card

Our debit cards feature:

  • Ability to instantly receive transaction alerts on your mobile device.
  • Ability to pay nationally wherever Mastercard is accepted.

Get access to debit card transaction alerts, controls, and the ability to turn your debit card on and off on the GLFCU Mobile App.

  • All debit cards have a $3,500 limit within a 24-hour period, including a $500 maximum ATM cash withdrawal.
  • New debit cards will arrive in 7 to 10 business days (this does not include weekends and holidays). When the card arrives, there will be a sticker on the front with a number to call to activate the card and set up a PIN of your choosing. For security purposes, the card mailing does not say the name of the credit union on the outside; therefore, please be sure to open every piece of mail until you receive the card.
  • International transactions are not allowed on debit cards. This includes online retailers who process payments through an international processing center.
  • Up to 5 free ATM withdrawals monthly at participating ATMs.
  • Balance Inquiries at the ATM will result in a $2 fee (call, click, or use our Mobile App for free options).
  • Deposits (cash or checks) are not accepted at any ATMs. (Please ask a GLFCU team member for more information about Remote Deposit Capture and our secure Night Drop boxes).
  • There is a $10 fee for replacement cards when they are lost or damaged prior to the card expiration date and if you forget your PIN, please call 1-800-992-3808 to set up a new PIN.
  • If you are traveling outside the state of Michigan, please let us know for fraud-monitoring purposes so your debit card service does not get interrupted.
  • If you have a name change on your account, we must also change the name on your debit card. Transactions will not process correctly if names do not match.
  • Please always keep us up to date with your most current contact information so that we can reach you if a problem arises.

Lost/Stolen Mastercard debit cards:

To report your debit card lost or stolen, please call (989) 893-2831 (use Option 3 during business hours and Option 1 after hours).

Activation/PIN change:

To activate your debit card or request a PIN change, please call 1-800-992-3808.
