Loan Skip A Payment Program
When you need just a little extra cash in your pocket, skipping your next loan payment could be just the thing you need to get ahead. GLFCU’s Loan Skip A Payment program allows members to choose when the right time is to skip a loan payment, when certain loan qualifications are met.
To Qualify for Loan Skip A Payment:
- Your account must be in good standing. This means all loans and account balances must be current and in good standing when the loan skip a payment application is received by the credit union.
- Loan(s) must be open for a minimum of 90 days.
- Limit (3) skip pays per calendar year, per loan. (These can be consecutive or separate months of the year)
- Real Estate loans and Visa credit cards are not eligible for this offer.
- The fees for Loan Skip A Payment are as follows:
- $25 fee per loan, per month, for online loan skip a payment applications.
- $35 fee per loan, per month, for in person/emailed/mailed loan skip a payment applications.
How to Apply:
- Electronically ($25 Fee): The easiest, fastest, and cheapest way to skip a loan payment is to apply online through It’sMe247 Online Banking or our Mobile App (Search Great Lakes FCU in your app store):
- For ItsMe247 Online Banking: Simply log in to your account and click either the “Loan Skip A Payment” button on the right side of the screen under “Featured Service”; or you may click on the three dots to the right of your loan listing, then select “Loan Skip A Payment” from the drop down menu.
- For our Mobile App: Simply click “Loan Skip A Payment” on the home page of the app before you login, it is the very top listing, you will then be prompted to login; or you may click on the arrow to the right of your loan listing, then select “Loan Skip A Payment” from the drop down menu.
- In Person ($35 Fee): Stop in to one of our branch locations and one of our tellers will provide a form for you to fill out to process the Loan Skip A Payment request; or you may print the form and drop it off at a branch location.
- Email/Mail ($35 Fee): Print the form below, fill it out completely and either mail it to our Main office at: Great Lakes Federal Credit Union, Attn: Skip A Payments 415 Washington Ave, Bay City, MI 48708; or you may take a picture of the completed form and email it to paymentsprocessing@greatlakesfcu.com
